Beauty Must Haves

I had so many of you asking me very often what beauty products do I use and how I am doing my makeup routine every day. So, this is my ‘GO TO’ look that you will see me wearing 95% of the time and that’s because its quick, pretty natural and I have been loving every single product I have been using.

As a new customer in that girly industry I started using multiple products in order to see which ones will make it to my daily routine that I will start using them no matter what. So Here’s what made the cut over the last few months and why they’re my most used and y personal favourite products.

IT COSMETICS Your skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50- Colour Corrector creams have been my newer addiction to my makeup routine as I believe for an everyday look the heavy foundation is not necessary and CC creams let the skin breathe more. It has the glow and healthy look I love for any foundation I use (if you know me you will know that I am not a matte base girl – ya girl loves a bit of glitter and sparkle). CC creams have medium coverage and its ideal for days where you just need a little something but they can also be a great base to build a full-face coverage foundation. I would normally go for a shade darker than my skin colour and coming from a sunny country the high SPF is ideal against skin damage. In the It Cosmetics CC cream I am shad ‘Medium Tan’ which his sister of the It Cosmetics – CC+ Oil Free Matte SPF 40 for more oily skin types.

HOURGLASS Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick – As I am not wearing foundation on a daily basis this foundation/ concealer sticks have been my go-to products when it comes to contouring or just a spot coverage. They are super easy to use and they blend perfectly with every skin type. I would normally go for a light, medium and dark shade for a contouring result and for a medium (close to my skin colour) shade to cover specific areas in my face. I am currently wearing the Linen shade (light), the Warm Ivory (medium) and the Beige shade (dark) result.

HOURGLASS Ambient Lighting Powder – Out of all my beauty products I think that this is my favourite and definitely the most used one. I have always been trying to create a natural look with enhancing my skin colour creating a sun burned natural tanned look. I have been using the Ambient Lighting Powder in the ‘Radiant Light’ shade to create that look and I am mostly using it as a bronzer. I am all over glittery products and love a bit of sparkle so the powderish texture with small glitter gives a great natural glowing finish.

MAC SHAPE + SHADE BROW TINT – This eyebrow pencil has been a lifesaver for a day to day look. I am not a big fun of big thick eyebrows fully tinted eyebrows. I used to use a liquid – brush version of eyebrow tinting cream to fill in my eyebrows but since I discovered this pencil, I have been all over heels for it. The shade that I am using right now is the 'Fling' and I have chosen a lighter shade than my eyebrow colour in order to create my natural finish.

NARS Afterglow Lip Balm – Probably my all-time only lipstick that never leaves my bag. I am a lazy girl when it comes to keep to applying lip balms and hydrating my lips. This Nars lip balm was love at first sight giving you that baby lips feeling. At the moment I am wearing it in the ‘Orgasm’ shade which is more of a baby pink finish but if you are not a lip colour girl, they have it in a clear shade which is just for hydration.

Hello everyone,

I have been contemplating sooo much with myself whether or not I should start this blog, and I had so many of my friends encouraging me to go for it and do something for me but I have been putting it off for so long that now i think its time for a new chapter. I think my thoughts of starting a blog myself first came when I was in my second year of University but I could never find the time for it …excuses excuses … the time came in senior year when I decided to devote my dissertation (third year project) about Fashion Bloggers. I am currently doing my Masters and I have taken a lot responsibility with University and work but …Early Twenties Craziness … one more thing won’t harm.

You know when you are about to start something new and you have a million thoughts going through your mind like “who will be interested? What if it fails? What if people won’t like it?” that is just one view… then I started thinking “What if people actually do like it? What if it will be a success? What if people will be interested?” So here I am today embracing writing, one of my favourite hobbies, and starting a new exciting project in my life.

What this is all about? In my newly created blog I will be sharing my thoughts, feelings and passions with you, all things beauty and fashion, trips, cooking and cusines, Q&As and many more exciting things…

I can’t describe how excited I am and I hope you will enjoy this blog as much as I enjoy writing it.

April Sunshine

With the first signs of sunshine comes that bronzed feeling. Summer season is approaching and post holiday glow becomes an up-session. Self tanning creams, tinted moisturisers and bronzers are becoming part of this tactical bronzing session along with endless hours of sunbathing. However, bronzers have a permanent space in my make up bag 365 days the year.

A good bronzer is a multitasker bronzer. You see bronzers can be used for contouring, shaping and to brighten up your face with warm tones. During winter cool tones and lighter shades are taking over to tone those cheekbones ... However, contouring can be achieved by going two shades darker and nicely blend in without tidemarks.

As the weather is getting warmer complexions adopt a warmer profile. The heat wont let all these thick mattresses of make up exist all together and then you need that just one bronzer that will do the job for everything with no translucent powders and rose pink blushes:

My personal stalwarts: (Charlotte Tilbury - Filmstar Bronze and Glow, NARS - Laguna Liquid Bronzer, HOURGLASS - Ambient Lighting Bronzer).

"E" Method of application is taking over when the summer comes mimicking the sun kissed Au Naturel look. Bronzer starts from the middle of the forehead and slowly brushes downwards on the underside of the cheekbones and back again, then taking the brush inwards to the chin to create a sharp jawline. Then repeating the same motion on the other side and then add a dot of bronzer on the bridge of the nose.

CAREFULL ** It is easier to go back and add some more colour as a top up tan afterwards so make sure you will have a satisfactory amount on your brush - don't make the same mistake that I do every single time.
